get to know me

I have about 10 years of experience with print advertising design, branding, layout and editorial design, logo creation, email marketing, and photo editing. I have worked with start-ups and small businesses to launch or rebrand themselves using social media and website development. I am intrigued by maximalism and bold colors.

Currently, I am employed with Hemmings Motor News in Bennington, VT. There, I assist with the creation of the monthly automotive magazine. I have previous experience with Saratoga Publishing in Saratoga, NY, where I was soley responsible for the layout of their weekly newspaper and various magazine publications.

On a more serious note, I am an adventurer, coffee addict, dog mom, and a pun master. I takes solo cross-country road trips to explore National Parks, sketchy rest stops, deserts, and mountains. I am always searching for that solitude and stillness that these wild landscapes have to offer us, from the narrow Utah slot canyons to the quiet mountain ponds in the Adirondacks.

My Design Process looks like this: a mess. When an idea is being “sketched” out, it’s duplicated over and over in the design program, reworking the new copy to keep each old version. Eventually, I’ll have a 30” long Photoshop/Illustrator document with 100 iterations of whatever I’m working on, with different color combinations and font variations. Trust the process, right?
